I set a timer once. The timer itself then became the sidequest (I spent 40 minutes picking the gong sound). Zero regrets.
Timers are just loot with extra steps. Ignore them. Collect more hats.
Counterpoint: I set a timer and it went off mid-factory and I genuinely forgot factories could pause. 8/10, would time-loop again.
